Myself, Gurmit Singh Gill, well known as “Mita Gillan Wala”, originally from village Gill, Tehsil Baghapurana, District Moga at present I am settled in Abbotsford, Canada. My parents Nazar Singh Gill and Late. Mukhtiar Kaur Gill lives with me in Canada.

I have two brothers Harcharan Singh Gill & Jarnail Singh Gill. I have one sister Bhinder Pal Kaur Grewal, settled in Canada. I am married to Lakhvir Kaur Gill and blessed with one son Vikram Singh Gill.

My Guru (Ustad) is Hakam Bakhtari Wala. I am really helped by Nikka Singh Dardi. I am very much inspired by my uncles Dhadi Late. Major Singh Gillan Wala (Taya Ji) & Dhadi Lal Singh Gill (Chacha Ji). My first ever song (written) is Milian Schoolon Jeeja Chhutian main auna tere pind milke, sung by Balbir Maan & Sunita Maan. This album was released by T-Series in 1997.

My first album is “Haal Canada Da” whose all songs (Except Two By Others) are written and sung by me. My Hobby is listening to old melodies.
